NCBC-JLUS Informational Open-House (Woolmarket)

Gulf Regional Planning Commission (GRPC) is coordinating two Joint Land Use Studies on the Coast. One is for Keesler AFB in Biloxi and the other is with the National Construction Battalion Center (NCBC) the “Seabees” in Gulfport.

The planning team is hosting two open-house style sessions about the NCBC project from 4:30-6:30pm on August 18th (Woolmarket Community Center) and on August 19th (Harrison Co. Courthouse/Emergency Operation center).

The SeaBee’s Joint Land Use Study (JLUS) is a collaborative study conducted by the city, county, federal officials, residents, and the military installation itself to identify compatible land uses and growth management guidelines near the installation. The process encourages the local community and installation to act as a team in order to prevent or curtail any encroachment issues caused by future mission expansion or local growth.
