FY 2025-2028 TIP amendment
In compliance with federal regulations 23 CFR 450, the Mississippi Gulf Coast Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) is seeking the public’s input on proposed amendments to the FY 2025-2028 Transportation Improvement Program [TIP). The TIP is a document that provides a list of projects to be initiated within a four-year period. The TIP only includes projects for which funding has been identified or anticipated. Public comments on the proposed amendments can be emailed to kyarrow@grpc.com or mailed to 1635 Popps Ferry Road, Suite G, Biloxi MS, 39532 before December 15, 2024. The TIP includes the FTA Program of Projects (POP) that are funded by the Federal Transit Administration. The public meetings/comment period will satisfy the public participation requirements for the FTA Section 5307 and 5309 Program of Projects (POP) notice. The proposed POP will be final unless revised as a result of public comment. The proposed amendments include adding Biloxi’s Popps Ferry Road Bridge Maintenance Project for PE costs of $400,000 federal / $100 local funding and construction funding of $11,600,000 federal / $2,900,000 local funding. This amendment also includes adding MDOT’s Hwy 67 Superstreet Project from US 49 to I-10 for $13,500,000 federal / $1,500,000 state funds and $61,600,000 federal/15,400,000 state funds.
